I design using Subsplash for churches. For other nonprofit clients, Showit (website + blog) or Shopify (e-commerce shop) will be used, depending on your needs.

Yes, your website plan is an additional cost that will be paid directly to your website host, not to Maya. The cost of your plan depends on the platform that we are using to set up you site. Showit plans start at $24/mo, and Shopify plans start at $29/mo. If you have not already, you will also need to purchase a custom domain name. These are relatively inexpensive, usually ranging from $8-$15/year.

While there is always some learning involved when you are introduced to something new, I use Showit in Shopify because they are user-friendly. Once we complete the design process, I will send over  website training videos to help you learn how to use your new site from the back end. Don't worry, you aren't alone - if you get stuck, I am happy to answer any questions that you have!

Yes. Your package includes website training videos to help you learn how to use your new site, and I will do my best to equip you with the skills needed to make updates to your site on your own. However, some clients do desire to have me handle website maintenance for them. My retainer fee for website maintenance is $100/mo.

Once you approve your custom proposal, I will send you a Welcome Kit that tells you what to expect in further detail. Generally, you can expect to begin the process by submitting your first payment and filling out a branding questionnaire. Depending on your project, I will also be requesting photos and website copy/text.

I recommend Showit for photographers, bloggers, and other creative professionals. If your website will mainly be an e-commerce shop, I recommend Shopify. While there are many website platforms out there, I use Showit and Shopify because these platforms offer the tools needed to create a custom, high-quality site for a reasonable price. (And there's no coding required!)

I typically work with 1-2 branding & web design clients at a time, and the process takes 4-6 weeks. If I happen to be booked up at the time that you contact me, your project will be scheduled for the next available date in my calendar. There is retainer fee of 25% of your total project investment to secure your spot!
