Shirika Bevill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy in Ridgeland, MS. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families improve their lives.
This project was such a fun challenge because Shirika came to me with an existing logo and brochure. I used these designs as inspiration for her website!
You’ll notice that Shirika’s brand colors are bright and bold. While most therapy websites feature soft, soothing colors, I loved that Shirika wasn’t afraid to be different! We were able to use her color palette for the website in a way that was cheerful and not overwhelming.
I used Showit, the website builder I specialize in, to create Shirika’s website. Showit is amazing because it allows me to have creative freedom, while also making it easy for clients to edit their finished site moving forward.
I start every design with the homepage. Here’s how Shirika’s turned out:
The goal for the Therapy Unlimited website was to create a resource where potential clients could have their questions answered and easily book appointments. It was also important to Shirika to combat the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community.
To encourage bookings, you’ll notice that scheduling an appointment is a prominent call to action throughout the site. The schedule buttons link to Shirika’s online scheduler, Acuity, so that clients can then choose an available spot.
Diverse families and People of Color are prominent in the imagery of the site to help Shirika’s target audience feel welcomed.
When asked if her goals for this project were met, Shirika shared:
“My design goals were surpassed! Maya is very talented! Her professionalism is second to none.”
If you’re looking for a designer to create a website that will help you grow, I’d love to make your website dreams come true! I specialize in helping nonprofits and purpose driven small businesses use design to have a greater impact.
Take it from Shirika:
“Maya totally made my vision come to life. I love how my website looks and the flow of it! I think my website will take away some the fear and unknowns that people have when it comes to therapy.”
