When we think about being more inclusive or giving back to support our community, knowing where to start can feel overwhelming. I love Nicole’s perspective that it’s okay to start small, and that finding ways to give back can look different for everyone.

• Diversity and Inclusion goes beyond race – Nicole encourages everyone to consider how we can support people of different genders, sexual orientations, abilities, learning styles, etc. within our communities.
• Start with something that feels small to you. Whether it’s inviting a business owner outside your usual circle to a coffee chat, or donating time/money to support a cause, it doesn’t have to be grand gesture to make an impact. Overtime, it will feel easier to do bigger things. 
• Be mindful of your resources. Ask yourself, “In what way can diversity and inclusion manifest itself for you? What are your strengths, what are you willing to give, what do you have an abundance of?” Nicole reminds us that it doesn’t just have to be time or money.
