3 Pinterest Graphic Layouts You Can Create & Customize in Canva

Canva makes it easy to create Pinterest graphic layouts for your business. In this tutorial, I’ll show you just how quickly you can create & customize your own pin graphics – all from scratch!

We’ll be making 3 different pin layouts:

1. A background image with text on top
2. An image with a color block & text underneath
3. A solid background with text on top

Follow along, then customize these templates however you’d like!

Design Tips & Shortcuts

• To get started, go to canva.com and log in or create your free account.
• I like to use the dimensions 1000 px X 1500 px – I’ve found that my Pinterest graphics are higher quality when I do this. The ideal pin size (for regular pins) used to be 600 px X 900 px. But, it’s now acceptable to use a larger size – as long as you stick to the 2:3 ratio.
• Stay true to your brand with the colors, fonts, and photos you choose.
• Shortcut for “Copy” – Cmnd + C (Mac) / Ctrl + C (Windows)
• Shortcut for “Paste” – Cmnd + V (Mac) / Ctrl + V (Windows)
• Hold down Shift + Click to select multiple elements in Canva at once

Pinterest Tip: How to Create Multiple Pins form 1 Blog Post!

Pinterest doesn’t recommend saving the same pin to the same board more than once. However, you can create multiple different pin graphics that point to the same link.

Pinterest considers each unique pin graphic “fresh content.” So, you can use different layouts (like the 3 we created in this tutorial) to make multiple pins from the same blog post. Once you do, pin each unique graphic to a different board!
