I support creative business owners in accomplishing their design dreams.
These days, I think we could all use a little more joy in our Instagram feeds. Natasha Stoneking is on a mission to share all the happy we can handle! She’s been blogging for over 14 years, but I love how her message is still so timely in 2022. Natasha is a life and style blogger based in Nashville, TN. This project was such a fun and BRIGHT one!
Natasha decided to go with my template customization + branding package. The custom branding portion includes color and font palettes, a primary logo, and secondary logos. I’ll talk more about template customization in a bit, but for now let’s talk branding!
Natasha wanted her brand to give off happy vibes (after all, her blog is called Hello Happiness!) and resonate with the women she serves. She also wanted to communicate her bold and joyful personality, and make sure that her brand stands out from other bloggers in her niche. I chose fonts that were playful and feminine, but still have a bit of maturity to them. The heading font is bold, bringing in lots of personality! The super bright color palette is sure to get her audience’s attention – and make them smile!
Since both product collaborations and social media are important to Natasha’s business, I went with secondary logos that support those avenues. I especially think the stamp logo would look so cute on product packaging or stickers! And of course, the “follow along” logo reminds Natasha’s audience to connect with her on Instagram.
For Natahsa’s website, we customized a Showit template instead of starting from scratch (aka custom design).
I design websites using the Showit website builder. I love using the Showit because it allows for creative freedom, and is easy for my clients to edit moving forward!
Website templates tend to have a reputation of being the “quick and cheap” option for getting a website. But that’s not the case with a website template! They are high quality and completely customizable, which makes them a great option for business owners at all stages. So, even if you’re more experienced like Natasha, Showit templates are something to explore.
Showit is easy to learn, so some people choose to purchase a template and customize it themselves. However, having a designer customize the template for you is convenient and having a designer’s eye on the site is valuable, so that’s why my template customization services exist!

Natasha loved the Maggie Template from fellow designer Elizabeth McCravy’s template shop. We changed out the colors and fonts to match Kamili’s new branding, and updated the layout as needed to support Natasha’s content and website goals. The base design definitely gave us a solid starting point! Once I used Natasha’s new branding and content to customize the template, we came up with a website that’s just as unique as her and her blog!
Looking for a website designer? I’d love to make your website dreams come true! I specialize in helping creative business owners build a genuine, memorable online presence through joyful brand and Showit website design. Get more details on my template customization and custom design packages.
